Matt Furniss

Founder and President

Matt Furniss

Matt began his career in the TPA industry back in 2012 under the tutelage of industry legend and father-in-law, Greg Taylor at QBI in Southern California. His career path in the TPA industry has focused on plan design and sales side of the business.  He has worked with hundreds if not thousands of local CPA’s, business managers and financial advisors to assist their clients with their retirement plan design and administrative needs.

Over the course of his career Matt has assisted with the setup and design of well over 2,000 retirement plans from 1 person 401k’s to plans with thousands of employees as well as very advanced and complex combo designs including Cash Balance and Defined Benefit plans.

During his entire tenure in this industry, he has worked hand in hand with fellow partner, Lisa Funari Porr. They have a long-standing relationship of working together for the past 12 years.

Matt currently resides in Thousand Oaks, California with his wife, Kim and two children.  When not working, Matt enjoys quality time with his family whether that be coaching or watching their sporting events or hiking around the beautiful Conejo Valley mountains as well as still trying to play some basketball when time allows.

Angelo began his career in the TPA industry in 2006 where he started at QBI, one of the largest TPA Firms in Southern California to date founded by industry legend Greg Taylor.

Angelo has focused on the administration and client side of the business and has serviced hundreds of clients that range from small to large businesses across the country.

Angelo has worked alongside ERA Admin founders Matt Furniss for 12 years and Lisa Porr for 19 years.

Angelo resides in the San Fernando Valley and in his free time enjoys his weekly meetups with his run club, content creating, going to shows & festivals and has recently taken up reading as a new hobby.

Holly Goracke

In 2019, Holly began her career in the TPA industry at QBI in Southern California and focused her career path on plan design, administration, and compliance. During this career, she has worked seamlessly with her colleagues and mentors, Lisa Funari Porr and Matt Furniss, and happily seized the opportunity to continue working with them in their endeavor with this company.

Before finding her niche in the TPA Industry, Holly worked for an established attorney in the estate and trust arena but has spent most of her adult life working in the Developmental Disabilities sector, employed for many years with the Regional Center as well as with behavioral intervention companies.

Holly has resided in the West San Fernando Valley in California for 40+ years, although that number of years still surprises her! As the main caregiver for her Special Needs brother, day to day life outside of work is busy for Holly, but any spare time is devoted to enjoying time with her senior dog, reading as many books as she can get her hands on, volunteering at the local VFW, and spoiling her sister’s kids as often as possible!

Lisa Funari Porr

Lisa is a founding partner of ERA Admin. Lisa started her retirement plan career with Qualified Benefits, Inc. in 1990 under the mentorship of Greg Taylor, founder of QBI and a retirement plan expert. During her retirement plan administration career, she has followed the Qualified Benefits (QBI) path up until the founding of ERA Admin in 2024.

Lisa has over 33 of years of experience in the administration of qualified retirement plans. She is highly regarded in the TPA world for her extensive knowledge and ability to connect with and service clients and business partners on a more personal level. Lisa has held various management positions and is known for her ability to train and mentor countless others in the TPA industry.

Lisa resides in El Segundo, California with her husband and has two adult children she adores. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, doing anything active outdoors and being active in her church ministries.

Our History

After working side by side for the last 12 years, Matt and Lisa decided it was time to form their own TPA firm – which brings us to the formation of ERA Admin in 2024. A blending of old and new is what ERA Admin is all about. We have taken our core values of great service, integrity and hard work and are blending it with the new technology ERA to ensure clients receive the best of both worlds.
